P.A.S.T. Retired Athletes Medical Resource Group
P.A.S.T. Retired Athletes Medical Resource Group is an independent medical organization that provides extensive medical, pain management, diagnostic, surgical and behavioral health services directly to retired professional athletes. The organization also facilitates high school sports medical education programs dealing with such issues as concussions and drug addiction.
The organization is comprised of medical professionals dedicated to providing retired professional athletes comprehensive, integrated care, addressing their medical and behavioral health needs, decreasing their pain and improving their quality of life. Many former athletes find themselves in medical crisis and with no means to get the assistance they need. The P.A.S.T. team of doctors donates their time, services and facilities, to provide retired athletes with the care they need. For players who qualify and without insurance or other means, pro bono services are provided.
- The P.A.S.T. philosophy is to treat the whole person, mind and body.
- P.A.S.T. provides a wide range of customized integrated services across a variety of disciplines. Medical disciplines include: Pain Management, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics (including Joint Replacement), Neurology, Neurosurgery, Spinal and Chiropractic Services, full diagnostic evaluations, chronic pain treatment and diagnosis, behavioral health services for addiction, depression, grief, psychiatric issues related to traumatic brain injuries and more.

P.A.S.T. NBRPA Relationship
The National Basketball Retired Players Association announced their relationship with P.A.S.T. Medical Resource Group during a press conference on October 28th, 2010.
Through this unique relationship many members of the NBRPA/Legends of Basketball are now receiving fully integrated, comprehensive medical care through the P.A.S.T program including; Sam Jones, Earl Monroe, Albert King, Phil Chenier, Dean Tolson, Cal Ramsey and many others.
The P.A.S.T. program has proved extremely successful for retired NFL players and has now expanded to include former NBA players. The P.A.S.T. team now provides their fully integrated medical, behavioral and personalized preventive health care protocols, customized for retired athletes, to former NBA players. As an extension of their medical program and mission, P.A.S.T. will also offer pro bono care to former NBA players who are in medical crisis and who qualify.
P.A.S.T. MLBPAA Relationship
P.A.S.T. through a relationship with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association provides the alumni membership group with medical, behavioural and preventive health services specialized for the specific needs of retired players along with outreach, education and screening. In addition to working with insured players, P.A.S.T. will provide pro bono aid to those players who are in need of medical care and who qualify through this collaboration.
